Megan holds a Master’s in Veterinary Physiotherapy  from Writtle (2021) and has extensive experience working with both dogs  and horses. Having competed internationally across Europe and South  Africa, she developed a deep understanding of performance, recovery, and  rehabilitation.

As both a horse and dog owner, Megan combines her scientific expertise with real-world care, ensuring every dog receives the highest standard of tailored physiotherapy treatment.

Her new centre at Crazy Tails Retreat features a state-of-the-art hydro treadmill and professional rehabilitation equipment — all within a calm,  purpose-built environment designed to help dogs feel relaxed and  supported.

Canine physiotherapy helps to reduce pain, restore movement, and support long-term wellbeing in dogs recovering from surgery, injury, or managing chronic conditions.

Megan’s sessions focus on improving strength, flexibility, and  comfort, while also helping prevent future injuries or mobility issues.

Physiotherapy can support dogs with:

• Post-surgical rehabilitation (e.g. cruciate repair, arthroscopy, joint replacement) 
• Muscle tears or strains 
• Arthritis, hip or elbow dysplasia

 Megan uses a combination of hands-on therapies and modern rehabilitation technologies to achieve the best results for every dog.  Her treatments include:

• Therapeutic laser (Class 3b) 
• Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy 
• Neural and muscular stimulation devices (TENS & NMES)

 After hydrotherapy sessions, dogs are rinsed off as standard, fitted with a drying robe, and escorted to the grooming studio by our team.

While owners relax in reception, our groomers complete a double shampoo and conditioner to thoroughly cleanse the coat, followed by a professional blow-dry — ensuring no damp dogs leave the Retreat.

This Bath & Dry add-on is exclusive to Megan’s physiotherapy clients and must be pre-booked directly with Megan when arranging the session. 

Includes full shampoo, conditioner, blow-dry, and light brush if needed.
Additional grooming services (such as de-shedding or nail trim) can be added at standard rates

• For our regular daycare and boarding dogs, we’re now able to coordinate physiotherapy sessions directly with Megan — making ongoing treatment simple and stress-free.
• After an initial assessment (which must be completed with the owner present), Megan can collect your dog directly from daycare for their physiotherapy session.
• If a bath & dry has been pre-booked, we’ll  complete this afterwards and return your dog to daycare or their  boarding suite — clean, comfortable, and relaxed.
• This exclusive service is ideal for dogs who require regular physiotherapy but whose owners have busy schedules or find it difficult to manage travel to and from appointments.

• The initial physiotherapy assessment must be completed with the owner present. 
• Once a treatment plan is in place, ongoing sessions can be coordinated directly between Megan and the daycare team. 
• Bath & dry add-ons must be pre-booked in advance.
